Cutie Across The Bar
Hi, Hey, Hello,
How should I approach?
Excuse me, do I know you?
Of course not, think fool
Walk by and spill my drink
She wouldn't like that, would she
Smile, wave tap the seat beside me
Buy her a drink approach casually
Ask her to dance, offer my hand
Like a million guys already haven't
What should I do, what should I do?
Compliment, fake accent, lie about my job
Get on stage and sing her a song
When she doesn't even know me at all
She's way out of my league
I can't even move, how could I speak?
Lost in the awe of her ever growing beauty
I caught her glancing back to me
Her smile alone was tempting
Twirling gum around her finger
As she began to make her way nearer
I tapped the bar table for two beers
She pulled out a pack of cigarettes
Lit one and offered me another
Came in close and lit mine with hers
Passed her a beer, exchanging first words
Name for name as she sat next to me
The rest well ... what do you think?
How should I approach?
Excuse me, do I know you?
Of course not, think fool
Walk by and spill my drink
She wouldn't like that, would she
Smile, wave tap the seat beside me
Buy her a drink approach casually
Ask her to dance, offer my hand
Like a million guys already haven't
What should I do, what should I do?
Compliment, fake accent, lie about my job
