Disturbing is the scene that is seen
the destruction of a love dream,
dreams I dared, dared I tell you, to believe
were true heartfelt and meant for me.
Ahh but reality ever the cruel mistress
never fails to enlighten me, but I digress,
let me explain this finely composed mess
of pretty words spoken to deftly impress.
Ohh such is power of poets and bards
that we can manipulate the eager heart,
sweet words served up succulently a la cart,
professing feelings that leave only scars.
We think so little of the syllables said
after they vacate the mouth they have left.
Does anyone truly realize the weapon in the words?
To an ignorant mind it seems ridiculously absurd.
The truth is words injure, scar and assail,
they can be unforgiving for female or male;
indiscriminate attackers, their wounds never fail.
How could you author such a beastly tale?
We bleed our woes in ink across these pages,
describing it blow by blow or in injurious stages;
you climb upon your soap box versifying for all ages,
seeing a kindred in me, you fall into masculine messages.
You used your manly wiles to lull and seduce,
hypnotizing any and all with your word use;
it is cruel and obscene this cleverly created ruse,
careful lover, Karma is a bitch, one day it will be you!

It is true. Poets disregard words and often string them together as a means to suck out desired emotions from readers, without ever truly reflecting on it once they're done.
Your poems, Gypsy, stand out of the clustered crowd of poems on DUP with a unique glow.
Why, because your pieces often has a case in point unlike that of the majority who just write, apparently, about absolutely nothing!- just drawing straws...
I have never for once regretted ever reading any of your poems(excluding the erotic ones. I don't read those)..

I, like you, do not read the majority of those poems because I abore written crude pornography which is what most write, That said I can assure you I do not write that way, but there is no category for sensual or positive love poems, so I am forced to put them under that one, allow me to recommend one and you decide for yourself if it is to your liking:
