GUILT

Remembering your violent arguments past ,
does nothing to help you realize today,
that the person you experienced those episodes with,
keeps you stuck in a rut of increasing decay.

Break free from the anxiety of repeated behavior.
Are you really naive to what I do?
Or, are you pretending that you can't move on,
because of some dream that has always been wrong?

Or maybe, you are just selfish and cold,
clinging onto the new and also the old.
You give me no chance when she doesn't deserve one.
In time you will ask and the answer will be none.

Greedy and grateful are closely related.
One is of sin and the other appreciated.
If you live to be real, rather than a star,
the weight of your guilt will escape from your heart.
