Trapped In Love
I am trapped in love
waiting on the cliffs edge, waiting for the shove
I am bound to loving you
and there's nothing I can do
I'll sit here waiting for you forever and always
though I'm so lonely most days
I'm like a plant and your like the sun
when it comes down to it you don't need me and if you left I'd be over and done
I want so much
and I'm here dying to feel your touch
some days I want to give up on this
let some guy claim my lips in a kiss
but what would that do?
when I think part of me will always be in love with you
so if forever is what it takes to have you all to myself
then forever I will give to no one else
I am trapped in my love for you
drowning in a love that couldn't be more true
who am I when I am alone?
I don't want to be alone anymore I want you to be my own
I want stake my claim on you
but I want to be claimed by you too
I want to be yours and for you to be mine
and that includes if I have to wait to have you for a time

Last Line: "I want to be yours and for you to be mine
and that includes if I have to wait to have you for a time"
This is a sweet write - it starts full of the undying promise/pain that comes with young love, but the last line shows a glimmer of its fickle nature. Intensity and innocence meet here. I like it!
