Open your eyes

 You only see through your eyes

Arrogantly forcing on your opinion

As you continue to bathe in ignorance

Cursing the many who speak against it

But you fail to see the bigger picture

Yet, I continuously bless you with forgiveness

Allowing myself to picture the reason for your ignorance

Whether it be an unfortunate experience

Or your highly held religious belief

Maybe even a popularity image

Or culture possible family difference

Whatever the case I pity your ignorance

For you fail to see the stupidity that lies in it

Just take a second and open your eyes

Look through not only yours but mine

Everyone’s, not even just mine

None of us may even be right

Yet we allow ourselves to toss our ignorance aside

Even if we hear something we don’t like

But this is your choice

Don’t be ignorant enough to let it rule your mind.
