shame and lust among demons

Sir Radcliff awoke to a warm body pressed against hers and almost smiled, then her eyes flew open as she jumped out of bed. Laying there was 'Brian', barely covered by the comforter, his red eyes smirking up at her.

She glared back at him and demanded; "Get dressed."

"I would love to, but-" he picked up half his shirt from the headboard, "it appears you ruined my top."

"What did you do to me?"

"Many varying and terribly debasing things," he responded, standing up and letting the blanket fall to the floor. "But don't look so offended 'dear cousin Kalient', you begged me to do every one them."

"Or don't you remember?" He asked, taking a step closer. Kalient struggled not to let her eyes wander.

"You are a millenniums old abomination of gods. I mean what power or drug did you use on me."

He chuckled. "As you well know, I have none of my former powers in this body. No, it was no chemical or magic that you could not resist," he grabbed her hand and placed it between his legs. "It was this. Just this. Just flesh."

Sir Radcliff felt her heart start to race and the heat rise in her despite herself. She looked down off to the left, a pit opening in the bottom of her stomach.

"So much for the fairy tale of true love, eh Kally? Just days after Prince Asher tells you he loves you and you betray him for a millenniums old abomination in nice wrapping." He released her hand. "I wonder, do you even love him? Or is it just the power in us that draws you?"

Kalient's eyes snapped back to his, seeping hatred. "What power? All I see before me is a peasant rat that married above its worth."

"Oh how you would like that to be true Cousin. Meredith has no idea who I am, so she at least has the excuse of being manipulated behind her back by this demon. But you, you knew full well what I was and all it did was make you want me more."

Kalient opened her mouth to protest, but he cut her off; "Don't bother denying it either; you called my name multiple times last night, and it wasn't Brian, it was my true name."

His eyes locked with hers and she couldn't look away. The black pupils radiated a malicious joy, and behind that, madness.

"Say it again."

She tried shaking her head but was unable. In her lower peripheral she saw a sharp, tooth filled grin too wide for a human spread across his face.

"Say. It. Again."

The red of his eyes almost seemed to be pulling her straight into them, the way it perpetually sucked the black smoke his skin had turned into.

Sir Radcliff stumbled backward, taking in the full sight of him. There he stood. This was the aide to The Empire, the man her cousin married, the man she spent the night with, and there he stood looking as he did centuries before anyone she had ever heard of was born. He was no longer Brian The Technocrat, this was what he truly was.
