My Piano

My piano, each key I'm pressin'
Feels like confessin' deep-seated obsessions
Stuck in black, C sharp majorly
G F G A G F D C
Not subconsciously voiding the white
One for the night life, mine without sight
My mind passes, train of thought fastened
On rails, enroute to expanses everlastin'
Passion for ambiance, dream of greener grasses
Where my muse is use to never batting her lashes
Festooned to a quarter note and draped in a slur
Hips piston in rhythm while they're traced with a blur
A stiff wrist strained with the movement
Came with improvement til my brain was in tune with
The melody. Bridge the gaps with my fingers
Til the past circles back and the blackness still lingers
I cut ties, opted not for a foray
Dropped my tone in the calm before the forte
I scaled to the top, tumbled down to the ground
Finger tips trail and stop between making their rounds
Ceaseless, trapped in the trance
Tired of the motion but til death do they dance
My piano, each key is tarnished
White never played but with blood for a garnish
Knuckles creak under pressure of the rhythm
Bridged gaps tremble before sufferin' a schism
Sound pounding and bouncing off the boundries
Every drone howling from top of the foundry
I crushed the timbre, but can't sustain
Deaf to the sound as it's drown in the pain
My piano, each key I hold
Black, never white, til my fingers are cold
