Not meant to Be

The moment came swiftly
like lightening to earth
I loved you from the start
and love quickly gave birth.

I spoke it first i think
or were we same in time
You seemed so lost and lonely
Our hearts gently entwined.

The warmth that came so readily
enveloped my whole soul
As would a woolen blanket
to keep you from the cold

The wondrous feel of our love
I've never known before
by such a gentle person
I longed for evermore

You gave your heart to me
it overflowed with love
and you had captured mine
so gentle as a dove.

The love a flower grew
beyond our wildest dream
oh the joy we felt
til tears began to stream

From Spanish eyes they came
along with shattered heart
slowly breaking down
this wonderful love apart

You so gentle and warm
we felt each others pain
Our tears were now together
Trying hard to keep sane

With words of I love you
we tried to join our hearts
But words are just words in air
When you are far apart.

Countless hours of tears we shed
I'm sorry said so much
Finally we have got to see
We will not ever touch

I'm not well i had to say
my heart knows your feel
Its not good the doctor said
You say this can't be real

So now I go for treatment
the outlook for us is dim
My shattered heart is broken
My life is without him

He beg me stay but he needs more
Not wife of distant land
He deserves the very best
of someone to hold his hand

Our hearts collided when exchanged
each grasping for dear life
you will always be with me
You will always be my wife

I guess this poem is goodbye
We exchange hearts once more
He begs, we crying loudly
Is heard across the shore

No more he say he love again
but we know life's not that way
Time eases pain tis said
and love does find a way
