At Dusk

At twilight time I hear a sound that softly beckons me.
Speaking gently on the wind and carried through the trees
I feel it blowing through my heart then carried to my soul.
The words from you that mesmerize my tears drop down below
I sit and contemplate it all and wonder deep within
Thoughts of us from me to you are carried on a whim
Can you feel the tears I've cried and hear my voice it calls?
I'm telling you the depth of me and each day how I fall.
Deeper still I must admit the wind she does not lie.....
The falling for you does not stop no matter how I try
The twilight clouds are parting now in hues of lilac dusk
Memories they wash through me the essence that was us
I wonder if your clouds are telling you these haunting words
Do you hear these things? I do they live inside this verse.
The sounds that take me to that place that we knew so well
That peaceful place with only us the one where I first fell
I'm falling now while this I write my heart it tells the truth
I fell the day I saw your face and spoke those words to you
If you want to stop my fall I welcome you to try
But I'll simply fall some more my tears they never lie
I feel you everywhere I look and everywhere I see
My fall it will not ever stop the wind will carry me
My fall it floats inside a dream of emerald colored eyes
The ones that darken next to me when I look inside.
so look at me right now my love and tell me what you see
You'll see the me falling deep in love while carried on the breeze...
