Happiness,
I long for you to stay
I long to soak in your glow
Paint a mural on my heart
fill in the dark spots
You are on some distant train
too far away for me to hold
too far away for me to grasp
Happiness,
I want to have you center stage
want you cage free
want to feel the way your sugar taste
on my cracked lips
Bless me with your graces
for I am stuck
Darkness
has
resided too long
I can't swallow the toxic anymore
I am sick of it
sick of the blue tongue
sick of the pain that drives my heart
off the everglades
into frozen rivers

This is good. But it's something that's been told so many times. Not that that's bad. I do the same. But originalaity will get you far here just saying :-)
