If only life were like a movie  
Then i would have made her mine
I would have swept her off her feet  
With a sweet poetic rhyme
i would have looked into her eyes
And told her how deeply i felt
And then she would reply
That my words caused her to melt
And then we would embrace  
And share a passionate kiss
But the fact that i must face  
Is that real life is not like this
In fact its quite contrary
It seems in movies love is real  
But in real life imaginary
And sweet words go on ignored  
By the one that i adored
Tho i pleaded and implored
She just walked right out the door
Her indifference did wound me
Now im all cut up and lonely
