A Beautiful Day

 
It Was a Beautiful Day
The bluest of blue
was the omniscient sky
on that day
Love’s first dance
rousing, energizing.
We two creatures of earth
happily unaware
of what is to be.

The toilers toiling,
teachers teaching,
learners learning.
dreamers dreaming,
fighters fighting,
and lovers loving.

But for two
whose journey veered
on course and
put them in perfect time,
at that place,
on that beautiful day,
for reasons now known,
seasons eternally sown,

The toilers kept toiling,
teachers teaching,
and learners learning.
The dreamers kept dreaming,
fighters fighting,
and lovers loving.

And the blue sky
kept its joyful watch
over the knowing,
until the sun set
and starlight moved
and truth collided
with providential bliss,
two souls now bound;
changed forever.
