Forever Is Only the Beginning (Intertwining Spirits)

Softly, the night whispers  
Faintly murmuring its secrets  
A nightly rain sending the most gentle of showers  
Slightly dampening the earth, but not our intertwining spirits  
 
Dazzling stars shine above us in the atmosphere  
The glittering moon illuminating the night  
All around, fireflies commence to appear  
This sweet serenity, we fear, will only last until daylight  
 
We walk, hand in hand, into the shadows of the night  
Seeking tranquility together  
Our merging souls, as one, ignite  
Now that they are intertwined, our essences glow brighter  
 
I beg for this night never to cease, but I know it must,  
Because if it does not, better ones will never come  
I wish our spirits to glow the brightest  
With that desire, there must faith; faith that greater days are to come  
 
Tonight our intertwining spirits spark the beginning of our lives as one  
Our forever, however, is only starting  
We will never be done,  
For our forever is only the beginning
