Love or Desire

My heart beats to the sound of your name,
Whether aloud or in unspoken thought
I gasp air as I gaze at your face,
My eyes burn with a vision so sought.
Internal fires deep within my being,
Stir wildly out of control.
A desire so raw yet innocent,
Erupts from the depths of my soul.

I quake at the slightest of touch,
Tremors unleash beneath my surface,
Chain-reacting throughout my flesh,
Sweet convulsions increase in pace.
An aching of painful pleasure,
Courses the span of my senses.
A wildfire ungoverned by will,
Ruptures my path of defences.

I seep through the taste of your lips,
Releasing my grounded emotions.
Slick with the heat of your love,
You steal the breath from my lungs.
And as I rise through caresses of love,
Your eyes with desire do gleam.
With anticipation I tense within flames,
Then awake from an unforgettable dream.
