We've all watched you struggle and fight through the days

Cus' you were bombarded with thousands of dollars in debt

but shit, at least you always made sure that me and my sisters went to bed a little full
It's never easy hearing your mom cry at night
It makes you angry and lose sight of your faith and give up doing whats right.
I went to college and got my own place, thanks to you
Now i can take care of myself, and even you
I know my weekly visits may sometimes be short
but please know the mad love my heart yearns for you is endless
cus out of everyone, your the only one i would never abort.
Every time i see you smile it makes me feel that i make you proud
and every time i hug you before i leave i feel the same love and warmth you made me feel when i was just a lost confused child
And now that i'm older i can finally understand how difficult life can truely be
how it can swallow you whole and spit you back out onto your knees
and how not everything is handed to you,
you have to fight for your destiny
You gave me the powerful name of SKY
and one thing that i can promise you, is that i'm going to keep soaring
because no, the sky is NOT the limit
Its just what you reach before you hit the ceiling
But if i dwell in the past, ill never fully live in the future
