Distance
Reaching for your hand
Seems difficult sometimes.
So far away yet I somehow
Can feel your presence.
Warm voice tickling my ear
And sweet words making my heart
Race, until it might stop.
Where have you gone?
So far away from me,
I can't reach you very well.
I'm very lonely so please
Acknowledge my desires.
I know it, one day we'll
Conquer this battle of being
So far apart, but my heart
Aches at knowing I cannot
Hold you when tears are flowing.
I cannot wrap my arms around you
When your strength is crumbling.
Please, if there is any sort of God,
All I want is to be there with him.
Even if for a moment, I want to be
With him, holding him and touching him.
But if I were to truly be met by his love,
I fear something may alter and we may not
Be the same as we were before he touched
My chilled skin, for this body died,
Though it's heart still flutters
When met by the thought of you.
Despite my fears though, I still
Want to melt into you, so please,
Let's hurry and defeat the Distance
So I might find my security in your
Embrace.

These entreaties of unbalanced occupation are always oddly uncomfortable, and have several types. One, much further from this, is the partition of emotions, the unrequited love within a marriage. To have removed that distance and then to have that distance recreated by emotional dissonance is also painful. What then of those who gain their heart's desire for closeness only to begin again from light years' emotional distance?????

Sometimes, love truly conquers all. We've crossed many trials so far just to get to where we are now, finally as a couple. Though he's far, I have faith and though I'm lonely, I trust we'll be together very soon.

Thanks hun, I was hurting over coming back from PA because it meant being further away from Daniel, that's why I wrote this.
