Since I was young they have asked
"why are you so angry?"
And all I can think to say is...
 
Because of lobbyists in congress,
because of fear of this osama
because of hate of the unknown
because of fate from the above
because I'm a boy and your a girl
and our position in the world
because of racists and the cops
and old abandoned lots
because homeless dudes are dying  
while friday fish is frying
for the church groups sitting pretty
and the local hag committee
because we can't stop the violence
because y'all are mindless
because of christians and their hell
preaching hate and ringing bells  
because the world is full of greed
and we're living on our knees
because of trash in every river
and sister fighting sister
because everything is impossible
in a world run by the mafia
from soup to nuts
we're all fucked  
from the moment
the tit is sucked
because nobody ever listens  
to a kid in a position
of understanding far too much
of the crimes and their commission
because all we get is money  
for the labors of our body
because we give it all away  
for a slice of yesterday
because one day we all die
and the whole thing's been a lie
and every back is stepped on to get someone to the top
because systems based on logic  
deny those who loved and lost it
because corporations make the money
while we all make the time
because we all give it up
to the man with the controlling mind
because authority even exists  
in it's multi-colored clothes  
because one man is born better
and we all carry the load
because I can't lash out  
and destroy what destroys me
because I was taught to be a slave
by my own family.
