The Greenhouse (Experimental)
The final stone is cast at the greenhouse of the past.
Its shape resembles that of a future previously unknown to the flowers.
The flowers were foolish in the assumption that everything would stop,
so much so that at the instant the rock made contact with one of the windows
they expected it to bounce off and land on a neighbouring lawn.
Due to the rock’s shape, it shattered each window in quick succession
leaving the flowers bathing in glass.
But, what of the man who cast that stone?
Circumstance put that rock in his hand,
had he not thrown it, he would have been forced to leave it
and walk on.
What put the rock in his hand was chance,
but what if he had also planted those flowers inside the greenhouse?
He had planted each flower, one in particular
that grew despite the nearby weeds
born of his tardiness.
The greenhouse had been destroyed,
and the flower could grow beyond the restraints built around it,
but only If the weeds perished.
What or who is responsible for this?
The stone, the caster, the flower or the absence of the greenhouse?
That is something that can only be told by time.
Time, however, must not be relied on.
The importance lies in the caster finding the rock,
the rock freeing the flowers and the weeds from the greenhouse,
the impact of the rock being witnessed by the flowers,
and how well the weeds survived.
Now, they all stand still waiting,
as if it would be easier if the decision was made for them.
Does the caster protect the flower that he planted?
Or does he pick up the rock that released them all
from his hand made restrictions?
A struggle will ensue.
One hell of a struggle.
But, each part of the story
has a choice as to whether
it should participate.
Would you?

Ah! This is a very interesting turn of events
I must say. I love how you have connected this
like a linear story told in reverse, connected phase by phase. Almost like a flash back. Very well done sir.
And as far as the story goes, this is sheer brilliance. Despite the nature of the events being almost mundane, the PoV of the narrator makes them larger than life, almost monolithic philosophical questions.
Chance is an interesting addition to the stellar cast of caster, weapon and victim[non-victim]
I would say a well executed experiment sir.

This definitely feels like a riddle, or something resembling reverse psychology. Either way it's a challenge--for the hand, rock, flowers, weeds, reader (I don't see much of a challenge for the greenhouse's participation, because either it remains or is shattered, choice of the hand). Very interesting.
