One Last Cigarette
I roll one last cigarette,
before I go to sleep,
and I know that this distraction,
will never keep,
my thoughts away from you,
but I don't wanna think that deep,
just have one more cigarette,
and fall asleep.
Maybe I'll have a dreamless night,
one night where I'm not tortured,
by the cherished memories,
I only seem to remember,
when I'm asleep.
One last cigarette,
maybe I'll wake up in the morning,
and find you here.
before I go to sleep,
and I know that this distraction,
will never keep,
my thoughts away from you,
but I don't wanna think that deep,
just have one more cigarette,
and fall asleep.
Maybe I'll have a dreamless night,
one night where I'm not tortured,
by the cherished memories,
I only seem to remember,
when I'm asleep.
One last cigarette,
maybe I'll wake up in the morning,
and find you here.
