A menagerie of the mind
A babbling of gibberish
To escape the days grind
Picking at the threads
in a cloth meant to blind,
I'm looking to confess
My need for an untimely egress
A depart from the norm,
I'd rather fight for my composure
Than simply weather the storm
I'd rather be a fire in the rain
The torrential rain attempting to dampen my spirits
Than sitting here trying to forget
With an assortment of spirits
