Mistaken Princess

Patronized by dates and times
Do I wear a sign?
Fallen flat on phony rhymes
from your brain you're prying.

Up and down this torrid ride
In the spit we slip and slide.
I'll grab you by your wounded pride
So much for backwards bump and grind.

High atop this gilded throne
sits your little princess
Yet she's feeling all alone
Yet you're the one at times pretentious.

A princess? HA! who am I kidding?
It's probably funny from where you're sitting.
More an imp with hope to lose
Mischievious when she's feeling used.

It's not alright... will never be.
We screwed up rather badly.
There's your scraps way over there
here's my junk in front of me.

Drench and drip your brilliance
like a sugared, sweet molasses.
A one track mind will turn and flip
When flavored with hints of sarcasm.

Note: a reflection and diss on myself a bit.
