Dance With Me?

There we all were
In that clausterphobic place
Strobe lights were flashing
Sweat was dripping down my face

With the bass ripping my heart from my chest
I couldn't concentrate on anything else
But the way I moved my hips to the beat
The way the lights glittered off my belt

The DJ took a break
I decided to quench my thirst
I went to get a drink
That I had left in my purse

When a silhouette approached me
A very large one at that
I stood my ground at 5 foot 7
He insisted he only wanted to chat

I nervously stood there
Listening to his speech
Of how he's been admiring me
His eyes clung to me like a leech

He studied my body
As I leaned against the wall
I tried to break his stare
But he was oh so tall..

When the lights started flashing
I could see his face then
His dark eyes bore into mine
On his mouth a twisted grin

He held his hand out
Got down on one knee
Smiled and gently asked
"Will you dance with me?"

"Starberry no."
The voice inside me said
But I couldn't say no
As he stroked my head

We walked out to the dance floor
He said"go ahead"
He watched me like a hawk
Waiting to be fed

He handed me capsule
He said"Dear swallow this please"
Thinking it was regular E
I downed four with ease

The room started spinning
What did I just take??
The ground kept getting closer
My hands began to shake

My mystery man grabbed me
Threw me on his shoulder
Drool was spilling from my mouth
My head heavy as a boulder

I tried to speak,I really did
But no legible words escaped
My worst fears came to mind
"Am I about to be raped?"

He slung me in his car
Then we were on the road
Driving fast forever it seemed
Then the car finally slowed

"My dearest raver,my sweet kandi girl"
The man said to me
"You really should be more careful"
Then darkness was all I could see

When I woke up I was in bed
But it was not mine
It smelled of sweat and aftershave
Chills went down my spine

"Oh good you're up"
Said the man from before
I said"What did you give me?"
He replied"Nevermind that,here's some more"

He pried open my mouth
And dropped the pills in
He drowned them with water
As he gently stroked my chin

He pulled out a bong
From his chestnut night stand
Lit it up and shoved it at me
I took it in my hand

Baked and hungry
I lay there with him
He shoved more pills at me
I obeyed his whim

Soon enough I was out cold
Down deeper than before
I liked it here,it was serene
Like waves lapping at a sandy shore

I have yet to escape
This dark peaceful place
If only I had said no
To his sweet deceptive face..

Death isn't hard you see
As long as you don't fight
It's like a deep loving embrace
A permanent shelter from the light..
