I think you're bullshitting.

I believed you.
But you had lied to me,
with all the confidence of a well rehearsed line
planned and perfected.
You said it was 'decluttering'
Should I take that to mean I'm a mess?
Not in the here and now.
You said don't take it personally,
beautifully and calmly I accepted and maybe was happy.
In stark remembrance, I'm no so sure.
I ignored my intuition,
You sold me a well worn white lie to save face.
I'm a sucker for a sob story and you gave 'reasonable'   'poor me' excuses.
The ball is still in your court  
as far as proving this is for real, goes.
Seems that day, more that a little of your mask slipped.
Who knows how I'm reading into this.
I doubt myself,in two minds-given too much slack?
Not enough? wildly wrong?
For my sake and yours,
please don't be pissin' me around.
