It Can Only Be Love(My Mom's Poem)

When you delivered me
I wasn't your gift
You were mine

I can't write poems for girls anymore
They go straight to their heads

I imagine the life you would've had
If it wasn't for me
I'm not sure if I can acquire
All the things you want for me

When I'm wrapped in your warmth
I'm more free
You put my wellbeing before your own needs
I know sometimes I step on your toes
And make your sole weep
Yet you still stay in the kitchen
To make sure that I take no heat

When you mummify me with the love in your eyes
I realise that you are my gift from the divine
