Left alone in darkness
with rain falling from the sky
is a girl with a pained heart,
sending daggers with the glance of an eye.
Nobody knows she's even there
nobody knows she wants to die.
She can't continue living on smiling,
She can't keep living a lie.
Chorus;
Stained glass window bringing down
a wayward soul to Hell.
What happened to this girl
she could never tell.
Let's be honest and not get lost in lies,
refuse to see an angel who fell.
Verse 2;
Beating heart and sinking to the ocean
with an anchor made of lead and stone.
All the pain hidden in this heart
is something no one could've known.
Crying and laughing and touching and dying,
I'm not interested in reaping the seed I've sown.

I absolutely love this song and while I was reading it, I came up with a totally awesome melody and rhythm. The way I sing it sounds happy, which contradicts the meaning. So it's completely ironic.

Aha, I was actually thinking of it in like a ballad type of beat myself after I'd wrote it, almost like a love song with a broken hearted voice.
