Insculpt My Heart
I cannot explain but you found a place
you reside deep under my skin.
I wish now I had relished more of your face.
I desire to see it once again.
You managed to carve a spot deep in my soul.
You cleave there now as I think of you.
You've incised a pattern of your heart I want you to know.
Please don't question it... though miraculous it is true.
Will you catch a glimpse of these words I pen?
I sense your presence here today.
Will my expressions of passion draw you closer in?
Your heart is the instrument I choose to play.
You carefully engraved your spirit into my thoughts.
You can't deny it though try I know you will.
Fevered and furious thoughts of you I am wrought.
My longing is ever searching and will not be still.
I send these words to you upon the mellow wind.
I pray that they reach you where you are today.
My glowing embers with your yearning will blend.
I've etched this love on my heart and that is where it will stay.
