Fear

My greatest fear most of all,
above the spiders and blood splattered on the wall,
above deep water and above all height,
something gives me the biggest fright,
the thought of disappointment,
apparent in your eyes,
the idea that I could not get,
the very best of our lives,
my incredible son, my little boy,
if I ever fail to buy that toy,
if I ever fail to be a dad,
that can help you through the good and bad,
my greatest fear, I will meet,
I will kneel at fear's feet,
so believe in Daddy, cos I know,
that fear will always be alone.
