You see right through my pretenses
You look right through my mask.
You know exactly when I need a hug
I never have to ask.

You're here when I am lonely.
You stay when I cry.
You call me when you need me.
Even though I don't know why.

You're there for all my dark moments.
You always see my light.
You're always there, by my side,
Even when I can't take flight.

You catch me when I fall
Cheer me up when I'm depressed
All of my rude comments
You shrug away in jest.

You help me when I'm needy
That's not an easy task.
But there's always that one, little thing
I never have to ask.

You are my friend and that's what matters.
