Underneath

A mask will always change
with a soul that will always stay the same
ignore the evil that will look upon thee
but no pain on the outside you can see

even someone so dark and pale
has a mind and heart so frail
look into my eyes , tell me what you see
a cloud of sadness , or love within me

you can hate me for as long as i live
but if you cry for me i cannot forgive
look upon the face you hurt
and bury your laughter in the dirt
