I [b]love you for so many reasons that mean nothing to you
I pray for your safe keeping more than you even do
I stay looking for a new reason to give love to you and new reasons to live my life to love you
even though the love I get from you is none and the appreciation is less
I continue to hold on and hope for the best
from this what I consider to be my toughest test
I make lemonade out of the bitter lemons that drop on my head from your tree
I make mud pies out of the mud I wipe from my face that you throw on me
I keep the faith and even manage to smile when inside I want to scream
For I know that without me you would have no team
So I love you enough for both of us and for myself the same as well
because I know that only Love can conquer the Hate from hell
So here by your side I will continue to stay
And I will keep praying for a better day to come to pass
hoping one day we can think back on this nonsense and laugh
I am on the outside looking in through a shattered window waiting for you to call me back in
