Behind my shut eyes we are together
Behind these lids to my eyes it feels like forever
Dreamland, oh dreamland, why can't I stay here, and leave never
Is it for the better?
Is it for the better that you lock me out
Oh you are so clever.

But dreamland, how can you deny me this love I feel
The love I can only feel in this world where my heart seems healed
Reality sucks because here, her heart I killed
As mine just went on to steal another like it was it's skill

Dreamland you only allow me here for short periods of time
This world so peaceful behind my eyes
Together we are, and it's a hell of a life
Happiness and love for her I don't have to hide
Even though in dreamland it feels right
I can only stay here for the nights

If dreamland is the only place I can have you
Then I will accept the nights even if only a few
Because I love you in dreamland, and outside it's still true
But that bridge was burned in the real world, Went up in fumes

Dreamland is a place full of possibilities, endless ones
The nights where dreamland let's us be together, it is always fun
Walking the grassy hills, watching the setting sun
Holding hands and kissing, in this world we are one
In this world my heart is yours, and yours mine, for you are the only one
I get this feeling from

Dreamland, sometimes a gift, and a curse
But one dream with you, and it no longer hurts
The thought of what could have been becomes what's happening in this world
Where I can't have you in reality, but, in dreamland you are my girl

Dreamland, a whole new world where my greatest adventures have taken place
But not one of those dreams made my heart race
Like the ones where I get see your face
And we are together for a whole day
With conversations full of so much to say

Damn, dreamland why can't you switch with my real world
So she can be dream girl
