The Dating Game
The dating game the waiting game
the who's gonna break who's heart first and run game
its all the same when you make up your own bad rules
creep and run with fools and don't use the common courtesy that you should have learned in school, then comes the jealousy the deceit full of envy and stranger danger mentality
crossing out lives like days on a prison cell wall
showing no compassion but plenty of gall
caring but not really caring at all about who got hurt or who took the fall
maybe one day after you get your heart crushed you'll understand and repent for it all
so you no longer have to live a lie while pretending to stand tall
as your thinking your looking so big you really seem so pitifully small
The dating game is like Rent To Own it either gets paid off way more than its worth, it's lost or stolen or gets sent back never again the way it was at first.
