What I Never Thought  

Snow falls slowly
Freezing all but time
My angry heart encased in ice
Roaring licks of light
Reflect in my eyes
How new this is,
My mind never having wandered
Before this rest of forever

Never thought I'd turn the lights out
But pain never fails
Let's burn in Hell my friends
Feel the flames but don't see them
Evil is proof of God
Because there's beauty in danger
Grace in death
I couldn't stop it
Cause I'd never thought

Never thought I was so morbid
Never thought that I would slit
My skin bag open
Shiny red rubies
Rise and glisten
And fall down to stain
The life I thought I led
How to prevent
What I never thought?

Guess what world?
I'm NOT who I thought.
Because I'd never before considered
The demon inside
He comes out at night
Equipped with dagger
Forged in the fire
By bloody hands
They never thought for themselves either

Skull and crossbones
On my slender frame
Awaken now

Jump out of hiding
In the closet so quiet
Bring your gun and some roses
Dripping with disdain

Scamper 'cross the floor now
Don't let the hardwood creak
Or she'll awaken
Bright eyes to stare into
