Summer Storm
Fluffy white clouds
in azure skies
sun at its zenith
The heavens decide to open its windows
freeing its storage
Big fat drops
hit with a
pitter patter sound
against the hot pavement
releasing puffs of steam
like small announcements
that summer’s heat
will find some relief
The pungent smell
of dry dirt fills the air
with its sweet fragment scent
soft whispers of tress rejoice
their leaves rustling
in the wind fall
The ground quickly
soaks up the unexpected moist.
Worms working free
to refresh themselves
I standing in the downpour
arms raised
face facing upward
I flood over
Let it rain
Let it pour down
Let it help wash away this pain
in azure skies
sun at its zenith
The heavens decide to open its windows
freeing its storage
Big fat drops
hit with a
pitter patter sound
against the hot pavement
releasing puffs of steam
like small announcements
that summer’s heat
will find some relief
The pungent smell
of dry dirt fills the air
with its sweet fragment scent
soft whispers of tress rejoice
their leaves rustling
in the wind fall
The ground quickly
soaks up the unexpected moist.
Worms working free
to refresh themselves
I standing in the downpour
arms raised
face facing upward
I flood over
Let it rain
Let it pour down
Let it help wash away this pain
