"Nocturnum" ~ Rewrite
Nocturnum
Part angular, part rounded, part obscured from view
Nothing familiar,
Dark as a cavity it grabs your attention
Once, twice it inveigles your mind
Is there a sound, does it move
A rustle of leaves, the crack of a twig
Is there a hint of sibilant hiss
What? You imagine, is that
Just for a moment unsettling
There and then gone in the spill of the moonlight
Shadows do that

Macabre in its feel, mysterious it does seem, well composed leaving its meaning up to us to glean, very clever.
