It's Not the Sky That's Falling
It’s Not the Sky That’s Falling
Book of life you’ve so confused me
Sweetness stolen from the air
No more songs to sing within
The natural light of reason leaves me
Wise-ass life cracks a knowing line
“You think it’s dark?”
“Tis the grey-scale palette of love gone lame”
Let fly grape-shot of contradictions
Mooring lines flaccid, loose and tattered
Affinity falling
A thousand shattered pointless pieces
Beyond the mend of tape and glue
Oh Book of life you did confuse me
