Where does poetry come from?
Where does it have its start?
From the depths of the emotions
From the murmurs of the heart.

From the spark of the divine
That gives life and love to all -
From the Friend that's within you
His light and music to enthrall.

He lends His inspiration
For you to write His need
As His thoughts flow through you -
Like water thru a hollow reed.

Do you ever think to thank Him
What He's impressed upon your mind?
As you write that perfect poem.
As you pen that perfect line.
