Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
Yesterday
I breathed your intoxicating desire
caressed your inflaming intensity
tasted your awakened demand
absorbed your passionate yearn
witnessed your stimulating euphoria
Yesterday
We were one soul
in two bodies.
Today
I breathe your piercing anguish
caress your persecuting turmoil
taste your suffocating heartache
absorb your punishing nightmare
witness your agonizing plague
Today
We are one soul
on two realms.
Tomorrow
I will breathe my unforgiving devotion
caress my grasping grief
taste my starving tears
absorb my sorrowful shock
witness my violent daze
Tomorrow
I will join you, and
we will be whole again.

Now what I want to know is, what happens the day after tomorrow? It's either gonna be great make-up sex or going your seperate ways. Excellent write of the phases of a relationship. I like the way you breathe, caress, taste, absorb, and witness poetry. jj

Religion has been for thousands of years, and yet most follows still have question about the three days you state. It is not one ounce of me being sacrilegist. Just stating that you had your three days that no questions had to be asked. You already had the answers. Three days yesterday, today , and tomorrow. Kudos Rachel

I would certainly echo what Alip has said. It's good to see you trying new things.
This write has good character in it and a deep insight into the narrators persona.
There is a small issue with the "today" stanza in that. Since it's present tense I am thinking breathed should be breath.the same goes for caress,absorb,taste. And witness though just looking back over it now I really can't be sure because of the tomorrow stanza.
I guess it can work either way .

I went back and forth on the past and present tense of today. I thought, I would say, "I 'went' to the store today". However, when I read this out loud just now, I read it both ways. I seem to have felt it more with the present tense. So, I am going to change it.

Such beauty and sadness you lasso. It is your strength in writing... capturing the root of emotions (whatever they be) and deconstructing to give an intimate view.
