Eyes That Do Not See
Eyes that do not see,
heart that does not feel;
ears that fail to listen,
to words that dissweeten.
Emotions go unexpressed
as sentiments are repressed;
feelings unprofessed
of sensations I best forget.
Prisoner of the place
the eye does not see,
exiled from the heart
whose love I did seek.
Ambulating without rest
woeful as it is, I acquiesce.
Wasted time, I digress,
a sorrowful day I attest.

We are only blind to those who can not see. I shame beauty seems to be saught by eyes but only to feel it in the heart. Beautifully spoke.

There is no doubt in my mind that you are an excellent poet. Your 4 part "The Quest" is exceptional. In "Eyes That Do Not See, though, there is some temporal confusion in my mind. Is 'the sorrowful day" you mention at the poem's end just a day, a long sequence of time, most of your life (thus a metaphor) or something else? I like your poetry very much.

First let me thank you for the wonderful and encouraging comment as well as your astute observation.
It was just that, a day,(when you have to give up on something it is always sad)but it was purposely left open ended or up to the interpretation of the reader, kind of interactive so to speak, that way the reader can relate to it in whatever form he/she needs to.
I appreciate so much the feed back as well as the questions because they give me a better perspective on my pieces. Once again thank you very much.

Love your vocabulary. Even more your dancing with words whatever the theme. Your "Gypsy Soul" sees with clarity and is a shimmering light in a world of gray.
