Stars and Rocks

Another poem for creative writing. I don't like this format very much but it had to be a very strict free verse form; no rhyme scheme, no pentameter, etc. I hate discussing religion but I decided to put this up.

There are germs in the air,
And they make us sick to our stomachs and in our heads.
If you have ever been sick,
You have been touched by bacteria and viruses.
But did you witness the germs as they touched and infected you?
There is one thing that never stops.
No matter how hard we try, we are wasting time,
Clocks can tick away and time will never change.
Do you deny that time goes on,
Because you can't see it?
In the summer, our ice cream melts.
Yes the sun is hot,
But you can't see the heat,
You can only feel it.
(Some more than others)
Unless you have taken a blade and put it through your chest,
You have never seen your heart beat.
But you can hear it,
And you can feel it.
But because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean it isn't there.
Have you ever loved someone?
You can't explain how you how you know you love them.
You can not see love, you can not prove love.
But what would you do if someone said your love wasn't real
Just because they can't see it?
When you're asleep and in a dream,
Everything seems so real.
Do you not have dreams because no one else can see them?
How can you prove that you dream?
But a better question is: why would you have to?
There is time and there are germs,
And there are hearts and there are dreams.
Just because there's something you can't see,
Doesn't mean you can't believe.
So why can't there be God?
I just can't see how a little rock and a little explosion,
Could result in complexities like dreams and emotions.
I can't prove that God made us,
But you can't prove we came from stars and rocks.
