Lonely

Alone on this shore
Looking towards the horizon
I think of you once more
and wish I have forgotten
How we forged promises
Whispered in words
and written on the sand

The sun sets in the horizon
blazing redly against the sea
the sky seems to bleed
into the water
And I think of you
wondering if you see it too
or is it night where you are
and you seek solace
in another's arm

You may remember the silver twilight
that bath the white shore
Caressed by frothy waves
Joined by nocturnal beings
who triumph their entry with songs
You may have forgotten
the promises once given
traced on the white sand

The promise to have and to hold
To love and honour
To be together
no matter what life throw at us
In sickness and in Health
In richer and in Poorer
Till death do us part....

She came back yesterday
and knock on your heart's door
I don't know if she will stay
But you are still with her
Today perhaps you may think of me
and most of the many tomorrows
Thus I wait on this sandy shore
Just here...a mere choice
Alone and Lonely
