Soldier boy
What atrocities have you seen
Do you still see them in your dreams?
Do you wake in the middle of the night
In the middle of a cruel gun fight
Sweat running down your body ...
Do you need me to comfort you
To allay you fears
I want to be your calm
Your civilian life
And to wipe away your tears
As I kiss away your salty sadness
I will turn your sorrow to love
Turn your love to lust
Making you want me
Me to become us...
I will hold your trembling hand
Wipe your sweaty brow
No enemies here tonight
Just you, and I here now
Look deep into my eyes
And tell me what you see
Do you see the two of us
Forever together we will be?
Languishing in each others love
So lost within our souls
Our cum mingling with each others
The two of us becoming a whole
Our past in the past
Us together is now
We fuck and we love
We will make it work...
Us as one, somehow ...
Career choices are personal
It's what you want to be
No one else's decision
For reasons no one can see
Camouflaged, I can't see you
Blending with dust and countryside
You suddenly appear right here
All ready for your heavenly ride
If I can be your "normal"
(whatever that maybe)
let the two of us blossom togethor
And what will be, will be...

The healing power of the bond between a woman and a man is a big part of what I enjoy about your words. Check out the the second line in the sixth stanza. "It's want you want to be". Possible typo? Interest is never a problem with your writing! Thanks for sharing!

I have been thru the war, and not the battle. I have seen what most of you can only write about. To see the pink mist over 1000 yards away and see daylight in a persons chest cavity. We have a name for those who can't go. R.E.M.F. Rear Echeloned Mother Fuckers! The smell of dead decaying bodies. Seeing your brothers with toe tags on. You might take the man out of the war, but you can't take the war out of the man. For those who like the blood dead bodies and shit like that. Stick to playstation 3. Sgt. ????? 3rd 75th Ranger. Oh by the way my Miss Vixen we can play battleship, and blow the hell out of me! As always a rose in the desert when you write only the love of you can make it survive

You are right, I have only read and seen tv documentaries about what you have lived through.. I only took a very small part and imagined what it may have been like and some of the consequences of having fought in a war.
