So much stuff in our world today
things that clutter our rooms
and get in the way
I often think
I would be quite content
with a guitar and notebook
a doobie and tent
run away to the trees
and forget about the rest
becuase society's not built
for an anti-materalist

the song Apeman by the Kinks? I couldn't help but think of it, it's one of my favorite songs and I still listen to it quite often.
I enjoyed reading this poem and feel this way pretty much all the time.

Once again I can really relate. I also get this feeling quite often. I simply don't want to own much; I feel freer that way and you are right this society is not made for the anti-materialist. Great poem!
