Handle With Care
How fragile is the ego?
Spurred on by an unforgiving heart
Friendship?
It is as elusive of a concept as art
At the end of the day
We are just a war like race
Drawing lines and burning bridges
Expect no quarter or leniency
Especially from family
Should you fail to meet my expectations?
I will withdraw my warmth with a forceful vacuum
Leave your little cold blue body
At the other side of a judgmental stare
I feel you are beneath me now
I want you to know
So I cut you up with my eyes
And condescending smirk
Put down your reaching arms
There will be no pleasantries
There will be no shelter in this embrace
Love is an equally elusive concept
Watch it fade
The light from a drowning sun
