It Takes More than A Jumper And A few Berries To Trick An Old Crow
As a young child i spent most of my time amongst
cats and dogs some fish and some frogs
anything with life inside would draw my eyes
one time I happened upon an old Crow flightless
and set about to mending his broken wing
if only I could fix him then he would be my friend
and tell me the secrets of how to fly
so i gave him nuts and berries to strengthen him
wrapped him in my school jumper to keep him warm
I spent hours planning my maiden flight
where I would soar over hills and glide over sea
far away from things that might trouble me
alas! that old crow never did speak or fly
it just wore my jumper and ate my food
i never got to fly over hills or glide over water
so i took back my jumper and moved on.

I loved the idea of the crow teaching someone how to fly, very Aesopian. And as anyone who knows me knows, I love old fables and myths. The end where you take back your jumper and move on gave me an audible laugh. This was excellent, Eamonn. Listed!
