Air
"Air"
By: Kayla
As it tightens around her air, the small child cries.
He runs down the road, rain falls from the sky.
The sirens rush behind as the door swings open.
Gasping for air, the last kiss planted on the baby girls head.
She chokes the belt around her throat.
He rushes in and opens the locked door. Wood splinters fly and yelling fill our ears.
As she steps off the chair, she dies, the baby girl cries. He’s too late to stop.
He pulls the body down
“Wake up”.
An endless sleep of peace, where no pain and no pleasure live.
He drops to his knees and turns his head.
“Baby girl, she died for you…”
He picks up the gun stolen, hidden under the bed.
The men burst into the scene of death and pain.
“Take care of my child,”
And pulls the trigger.
Love always ends in pain, and love ends in shame.
Fallen apart.
Two love remain.
In the graves written and never apart, true love ends in death, and forever is endless.
Just like the sleep, dreams in peace, where no pain and no pleasure live.
