A poem made of song titles

Remember when there was only one love,
In the velvet morning, on the wings of a dove.
My north country boy, the good old days,
Into my arms, what a wondrous place.

We were so young, it was us and us only,
Lets stay together 'cause love is the key.
Late in the day we were walking on the moon,
at daybreak we were dazed and confused.

The drugs don't work & things change,
I was begging you, it's hard to explain.
And then, the hardest thing in the world,
The bitterest pill for your brown eyed girl.

Your red eyes & tears, saying I still love you,
I cry myself blind because I still do.
We can work it out you said, lover please,
We can be as thick as thieves.

Lost souls forever, alone again, or,
Stand by me 'cause I wanna be adored.
I said i need a little time, you knows I love you,
You said this is once in a lifetime, thankyou.

With a secret kiss we come together,
You light my fire, we're better together.
You're all I need to get by,
We're happy together in my minds eye.

Loving you is easy 'cause you're my star,
Our good times are something quite spectacular.
Its easy when I come around,
Knowing that we're homeward bound.

I'm no longer made of stone,
I'm crazy for you, come on home.
You're golden touch in deep pile dreams,
Wake up and make love with me.

Don't look back in anger,
'Cause I'm standing here,
And I'm a believer.
