To Write Love On Her Arms
The scars tell the story,
That the heart can't tell,
The scars show the sorrow,
As her spirits fell.
To write love on her arm,
She showed a little faith,
That sometimes life gets better,
Sometimes it can be great.
The scars on her wrists,
Prove she has seen more than she should,
The scars on her ankle,
Prove she's done more than she could.
To write love on her arm,
Her promise wore true,
She gave up cutting,
Just for you.
But her scars tell stories,
That her heart can't tell,
And her eyes show sorrow,
As her spirits fell.
Each scar another story,
Each tiny cut, a new line,
And at the end of the night,
She swore she was fine.
But to write love on her arm,
Add a little heart,
She gave up cutting her wrists,
As she fell apart.
Now she talks through her problems,
And when she can't she confides,
In the little black kitten,
Who stays by her side.
So to write love on her arm,
She faces another day,
Trying her hardest to avoid self harm,
And to cope, in another way.
That the heart can't tell,
The scars show the sorrow,
As her spirits fell.
To write love on her arm,
She showed a little faith,
That sometimes life gets better,
Sometimes it can be great.
The scars on her wrists,
Prove she has seen more than she should,
The scars on her ankle,
Prove she's done more than she could.
To write love on her arm,
Her promise wore true,
She gave up cutting,
Just for you.
But her scars tell stories,
That her heart can't tell,
And her eyes show sorrow,
As her spirits fell.
Each scar another story,
Each tiny cut, a new line,
And at the end of the night,
She swore she was fine.
But to write love on her arm,
Add a little heart,
She gave up cutting her wrists,
As she fell apart.
Now she talks through her problems,
And when she can't she confides,
In the little black kitten,
Who stays by her side.
So to write love on her arm,

Trying her hardest to avoid self harm,
And to cope, in another way.
