I Am Me

I am not here for your entertainment.  
I am not simply a body that you can have your way with.  
I have a brain and I have feelings, despite the fact that you forget that.

You enjoy our conversations because they are "fun."  
Fun is all well and good but not when you turn your back when life sometimes is not fun.  
Life sometimes just gets a bit too messy and complicated.

I am me.
I have a voice.  
I have thoughts.  
I have emotions.  
As a human being I deserve to be loved and to love.  
To have the devotion of those who truly appreciate me.  

Do I have that?  
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.  
All I do know for sure is that I am me.
