Draw a blank

I tiptoe
to the shower
for a short break  
from the car engines
that have done very little
to soothe my hangover.

I leave the two lesbians
on screen abandoned
and unloved.

I want the page,
but here is distraction;
a fifteen year old
wouldn't know depression
from growing up
if it ruined his life.

Toss it,
throw it 
in the bin.
Running water
will substitute
contentment
for long enough
to consider going at it
again.
